Why will the UK Megane E-Tech models come with a smaller infotainment screen than the European models? I like the look of the European screen, the UK version looks like a cost saving exercise and can't display maps, etc as fully.😪

Since you can display the map on the dashboard screen (which is plenty big enough), the smaller screen is adequate and the overall look is impressive.
Here's the 12inch screen you won't be getting because Renault think you'll like the smaller 9 inch screen better. Notice how there's hardly any room for you're phone to charge below it, I don't think! Imagine having to look at that massive map display 😱
@ShahEV , what are your thoughts? I think the 9" flows better with the instrument panel.
This must be a left hand drive entry level model.

Hi Jon. You might think you understand where I'm coming from but I'm not sure you do. Renault have not given a clear and direct answer when asked, by motoring reviewers, why the model we will receive has this display size. If a company with the resourses of Renault can't mirror image a display, then I'm shocked.
Hi David, I do appreciate what you are saying, but it is not aimed at the British, it is for any market that has right hand drive. I have been told that it is due to the differences and that manufacturing are working to come up with a solution in the long term. I don't know the reasons or the details for this though. Personally, after seeing the Nissan Aryia (that has a smaller screen) , I genuinely prefer the prefer the look of it.
This is from Renaults own press release!

I thought I would be buying a top spec Renault Megane E-Tech, now I learn that I'm paying top spec money for entry level interior. They really must hate us British.
The OpenR screen has a display area like no other: a 12.3-inch dashboard screen (1920 x 720 pixels, landscape) and 12-inch multimedia screen (1250 x 1562 pixels, portrait). The entry level model features a 9-inch multimedia screen (1250 x 834 pixels, landscape). It incorporates the latest-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 4K multiple display capabilities, and advanced connectivity with USB-C ports.
its all right hand vehicles, not just the ones coming to the UK.
On the virtual tour of the Megane my wife was informed that the smaller screen provides more access space for the wireless charging pad.
Hi Jon, thank you for the reply but I can't agree with you. I've seen the screen on reviews and it looks brilliant, so I'll reserve judgement until I've seen it up close.
Hi David, Whilst I initially shared your disappointment, I actually think it looks good and I understand it has a much better resolution than the larger screen. Renault UK have said that it will be available at some point in the future.
