Key Card problems

Has anybody had a problem with the key card battery.

I have only had the Zoe since March and both batteries

in both key cards have gone flat. I have replaced them with

Duracell batteries to see if it is just cheap batteries that,

Renault are using.

Hi Geoff, potentially it could be a bad batch of batteries that have caused the issue, so worth trying. Where do you store your keys when you are not using car? I have heard of batteries going flat when keys are stored in metal tins etc.

Hi Jon,

Thanks for getting back to me, much appreciated. I keep the key cards in a special box by faraday, its supposed to stop any thieves copying the soft ware from my key cards. This apparently can be done from outside your house with a special gadget that can be bought at Amazon. I have fitted both cards with new Duracell batteries, so we will see how we go from here..

I have heard of keys going flat when stored in a security box...if they go flat again< i would try leaving out and seeing if the same occurs.
