I have Just bought a 2020 Zoe gtline and am looking at having a charger installed at home, what chargers are you using ? Any recommendations or ones to stay away from ? Thanks in advance
i would recommend getting your mains electricity supply checked by an electrician first. I've just paid Octopus over £1,000 to fit an Ohme Home Pro and when they routed the cable to my meter & then checked my mains supply voltage, it was 254V (1V outside UK spec) so they refused to connect it to my consumer unit as it would instantly trip. I got my Distribution Network Operator out the same day and they measured the supply at 252V, (1V inside spec). Stalemate.
Charger looks lovely but is useless. Apparently this voltage fluctuation is a common problem with UK domestic grid supplies. Get yours checked before you shell out any money and if it's as flakey as mine you'll need to get a charger with more robust PEN protection than the Ohme, as it will be less susceptible to voltage fluctuation.
I haven't found another charger yet, I'm still fighting with my DNO to get them to tap down the voltage at my local transformer to see if we can get the Ohme connected. Definitely ask your DNO what your supply voltage is.
I highly recommend you get Octopus to check it too before they do any work, rather than fitting the charger and finding out later, like they did with mine. Like me you probably paid in full up front, but you may be able to get your money back if they can't fit it in those circumstances. I haven't tried to cross that bridge yet.
Sounds good. I've now managed to get SSE to monitor my supply and over the course of a week it varied from 233V to 260V. They're talking about replacing the local transformer but no ETA for that.

Good luck.
I would highly recommend the Ohme Home Pro.
