2014 Used 50000 miles done Renault Zoe car planning to buy for my use case which is not more than 40 miles drive daily.
Auto trader HPI check passed car, does this handle 40 miles for a 90% charge if I charge daily.
I knew people would say it depends on various factors such as driving style, weather etc.., etc.., I’m just asking for the worst case how many it could perform daily.
I have a ZE50 now but never had any problems doing 40 miles even in the dead of winter. As you say it depends but to struggle to do 40 miles you'd be trying to do 60+ uphill in the freezing with headwinds, imo. Presumably your 40 miles would be more along the lines of mixed roads and winter range is about 60 miles in those conditions. 70 if going careful and not minding some beeping.
It's impossible to say, it depends on so many factors and we don't know the state of the battery. My 2016 Zoe will only charge up to 50 miles on a daily charge on a cold day in winter. Then you have to deduct heating from mileage and you will most likely get a warning that you are running out of charge. It might be fine in the summer.
