Hi all, new here with a recently purchased ZE50 GT-Line R135 MY20. My wireless phone charger has stopped working. The plate got hot with a phone on it, then stopped working. It is probably just a blown fuse. My problem is that my local Renault dealer (Staples Corner, London) wants to charge £130 to look at it. Renault say that, if it is just a blown fuse, it will only be covered under warranty if due to a manufacturing fault (with either the fuse of the charger I guess). If it is just a fuse, they're probably going to blame it on my putting something metalic on the pad and overheating it, which I didn't. Has anyone else had experience of this problem and what happened at the main dealer? Or, better still, can anyone tell me exactly where the fuse is for the charger? Nothing in the manual or online, unfortunately. Thanks

OK, now I have got that off my chest, the fuse box is on the left hand side behind the glove box, I think that is why the glove box is so small. Not sure how you get into it though, may have to remove the trim.
Yes, they are shocking. Renault are no better either, OK you may of influenced your problem, slightly but still a manufacturing defect, but in my case I had an airbag fault due to a faulty door sensor which I had no influence on whatsoever. They wanted to charge me £130 also and Renault Customer Services backed them up. Their warranty is not worth the paper its written on.
The salesman/lady when you buy the cars assure you that you have 3 years warranty with FOC repairs but it just nonsense. If I had known the grief I had to go through to get my airbag fault repaired I would of never bought the car. Its a shame really because the cars are quite good just shockingly let down by the dealers and customer services network. Richy
