Zoe Jacking Points

in ZOE Z.E.50/E-Tech 2019-Present

Hi All

I really interesting thing about Zoe's which seems strange to me is nobody talks about how you jack up a Zoe if say you want to change a wheel or replace a drop link for example. I have found some plates sticking through the sills with a slot in them, I was wondering if some special attachment should be fitted to these points to lift the vehicle.

I know the Zoe is a heavy car for its size and weight has been spared wherever possible for greater efficiency, so great care needs to be taken when lifting a Zoe to ensure a structural part of the car is used, never mind damaging the battery pack which obviously has its own risks.

So does know the correct tools and points required to lift a Zoe ?

The slots on the sills are the ones. I've just fitted mud flaps on my ZE50 2021 and had to take the wheels of. A 1 1/2 tonne scissors Jack struggled a bit but was ok.

If you do a Google search on " how to jack up a Renault Zoe" you will find a number of threads answering this query. Seems pretty straight forward.

Thanks for your response but It doesn't seem straight forward to me, not without causing damage, or maybe i'm reading to much into this. The photo is my front o/s jacking point, the white sill and inner cover are both plastic and don't appear to have much support obove them, the jacking point sticking down appears to be a spot welded seam with a slot in it, I think this would easily deform if a jack was placed beneath when loaded to approx 750kg (50% of the cars weight). i wondered if some kind of special tool should fit over the spot welded joint ?

When I recently had a blowout I jacked the car up using a large block of wood under the front subframe, but make no mistake these cars are heavy with the load centrally positioned. The manual suggests the car cannot be lifted, I managed to find in google where the lifting points as shown were identified but this just doesn't feel right to me. Richy
