My Zoe (R110, 52 KWh) from 2020 has been left outside for 6 days. Temp. -5 to -10 deg C at times. It starts up fine and I can drive it. However it gives a serie of yellow caution messages such as; Check electrical system, Unable to charge, Limited performance.
I got a tip from a mechanic to check the 12V battery charge. If that was the problem would the car start up? It was replaced in september, so about 6 months old.
Thanks for any advice.
I haven't experienced anything like this but I would have thought that it is unlikely to be the 12v battery, as it would be charged by the traction battery as soon as you are in the "Ready" state. I believe that what the mechanic was actually saying perhaps, was to check that the 12v battery is actually being charged correctly from the traction battery. You should be able to easily check that with a voltmeter.
