I have just traded my 2017 R90 in for a 2020 R135 GT and I have a question about the manufacturer's warranty. Previous owner was late for the first service (due October 2021 but carried out March 2022 at 11,000 miles). My Renault app shows 2nd service due October 2022. Is the warranty still valid and if I book the 2nd service for October 2023 will that still be OK?

I think the service issue is a joke on Zoe. I have been to A and B services for our 2019 ZE40 R110, and they literary do not do any service or replacement, nor adjustments, with one exception and that is changing the air filter in the cabin.
They just check the tire tread depth, and brake pads (blow out the dust on the rear drum brakes if 2019 or previous (on B service, with a compressor it is for sure a DIY job). They do check the 12V battery CCA value and that might make sense. But not really for a daily driver, lead acid batteries love that usage case...
On my 2020 ZE50 R135 I have not done any service. For two reasons it states 60 000km in the manual and the car starts to nag after 30 000km... I can do the same as a service center can for zero cost...
So in short paying for A and B services is a rip-off at any cost. Brake fluid exchange after 4 to 5 years makes sense to do at a Renault shop as the requires special software to do (have I been told). The reason for that is that the used brake fluid is hygroscopic so it absorbs water from the air. That water might corrode the brake lines and might reduce the braking power (I almost never use the brake except for keeping it operational).
If they would perform all needed software updates I would happily pay for the "service", but to get ANY software update you MUST be able to pinpoint something that does NOT work, and they also must see it. Otherwise, they are forbidden to do software updates on Zoe. So all software updates are free of charge IF you are able to pass the hurdle within warranty time...
If I remember correctly it is not a legal requirement (in the EU anymore) that the service (stamp) is a necessity to have the warranty/guarantee to be valid, it is just extra income on EVs for the Renault shops...
