I have used the cars charger Scheduler and calendar to charge my Zoe ZE40 using off-peak electricity for some time without any problem. However , for a few weeks I have found that the charger will start at the correct time but fails to stop at the set time and continues on charging until it is 100% This is very frustrating. and of course is not good for the battery. Has anyone else had this problem and found a fix or got any ideas on how to solve the problem please

Hi I have a a Zoe 52 kw and have experienced problems. I have trialed my timer on my evec home charger against the car header. I can report 100% success since I did the test and proved which is the most reliable of the two methods. I leave the car header set as instant charge (not scheduled). I set the Evec wall charger to come on at 12.01 am and just set the time in hours for it to go off. Works every time.
The home charger as an app so works via wi-fi. The car app on the phone uses your net work to a mast, back to the car, then if accepted, back to the mast and back to your phone. Hence home wi-fi is better.
I tried setting the header unit in the car for timed, that was also hit and miss. Simple is best.
Any joy with your charger schedule - or are you still getting problems. Mine is still working fine. Just got electricity bill in and it clearly shows car going on at 12.30 -0430 for its charge in cheap tariff.
Hi there. I ended up cancelling all my scheduled programmes and resetting. Now, each time I go to charge I have to go into EV PROGRAMMING. I make sure it’s on the PROGRAM Edit box (highlighted in purple with a green tick), and check the charge box is also highlighted in purple, then just go back to Home Screen. The dashboard now always has the charging clock face illuminated. It’s worked ever since. Hope this helps.
Hi there,
know this is an old thread, but just started having the same issue with our Zoe, so wondered if anyone found a fix. we schedule charge during our cheap hours, via the in car system, but it doesn’t switch off and fully charges, costing us loads. any help would be great, even if the advice is simply to take it to the garage.
thanks
Forgive my ignorance - what’s a zappy charger 🥸
Hello there. I’m new to site and after posting my Zoe charge problem, I found your post. Similar to a tee!!!
I’ve not had any response from anyone on forum, so I guess I will just have to book the car into garage. We set car to charge at low rate energy times, but it’s doing same as yours, starts but doesn’t stop till 100%charged, costing us much more in electricity. Just wondered if you’ve found a resolve.
