Hi. I have a Zoe not 2 years old yet went down a deep pot hole and bump underneath of car. Damage can be seek underneath but doesn't look major. I only realised there was damage when a while later there was an intermittent error message saying unable to charge battery. The garage who is a Renault dealer have said that they have not seen it before and without taking anything apart said the battery is damaged and a new one is £19,000 so insurer should right off car. They haven't even inspected it. I feel they don't even want the work. They have had the car five weeks and it is just sitting there as insurers not happy. I am just wondering if anybody else has had a similar happening? Is there a good garage out there that would know what they are doing?

@Lee Jones , all vehicle insurance premiums have gone up, due to many factors...parts supply hasn't helped which has caused the cost per claim to increase significantly (hire car charges etc). I am sure if you had a conversation with Range Rover owners, you would have a shock when you hear about some of the renewal prices.
Speaking with someone recently, insurance premiums in general have gone up by 25-30% YOY.
