I think it uses your current mileage per kWh figure to calculate the range. So, if you have been hammering it on the motorway or driving with four adults and luggage on board, your range at 100% will be significantly lower. Suggest you reset the trip meter which will also reset the efficiency monitor and then a more moderate driving style should see the range shoot up.
I’m confused on range I have just got a R135 GT Rapid 2021 model When I charged it to 100% it showed I had 193 mile range a week later down to 18% battery i had only done 98 miles. I’m using B mode and eco my driving it around town driving nothing over 50 mph am I doing something wrong should I be charging to 100% each time ?
im charging up with Shell until I get my home charger which is costing around £0.79 any help in simple language would be great full
Range in Zoe R135 is rather temperature dependent. Pre-heat of the battery is an necessity to get proper range in cold conditions.
In short when the battery pack is below 15C. Then is the range (useful energy) you get rather bad.
Then we have the "Renault" thinking about stuff that is annoying.
No possibility exists to pre-heat the battery pack during driving. This have consequences when it get cold outside (below freezing) and you are on a trip as the battery charging gets limited. If below 7C it is limited to 13kW, below -6C max charging speed is 7kW (with some different steps between). So I would like to have the possibility to pre-heat the battery during driving to get proper charging speed at the charger full capability of 22kW AC/45kW DC (I have never seen charging above 45kW even if it states 50kW capability).
A rather interesting fact is that when the battery-pack is cold (less then -10 C). You may actually get longer range by driving fast (about 110km/h) instead of 70-80km/h that gets most range in summer. This might be due to internal heating of the battery by higher power/current usage do increase the battery temperature.
But I assume that the necessity do pre-heat in cold weather do not exist in southern France, and thats is why they omitted this capability, all the hardware are already in the car.
Also I would prefer to be able to set the battery pre-heat time. Now it is not possible. If the firmware in the car could have two settings, battery temp and cabin temp at departure time it would be so much better...
That seems like a really low percentage battery after so few miles. I would be inclined to take it to dealer to have battery cells checked. I do very few miles and days with not using car at all. Yesterday battery at 73% after 4 mile local trip reading 69%. Interesting mileage reading though, started at 122 finished at 121! Temperature difference I presume.
As a new Zoe owner I have looked at lots of Youtube videos about this car. One recent was looking at battery degradation, it was very little. As the Renault has 5 year warranty surely you could take it in to local dealer and ask them to check it and also ensure software is up to date? My car will show typically 222miles but will actually increase after driving for a while! Presumably as the battery warms up. Zoe battery hasn't got that battery temperature control that other makes have.
This would be really useful in winter, in the UK.
When it is really cold (5·C and below) I would get about 140 miles. Last summer I got 240 miles on long drives.
Also, Stewart, B mode may not necessarily be the most economical - see EV Nick's video which explains the issue.

Latest update to my charging range. Full charge gives range of 212 miles with temperature at 12 degrees.

Hi,
It'll adapt to driving style.
I have same age car and currently 190 miles fully charged. I expect it'll get lower as the weather gets colder. Summer, it's 240+
Hope that helps
