I appreciate this has been discussed over and over, but just wanted your thoughts on this.
Had the Zoe about a week and a half.
2022 GTI+
Had 3800 miles on when purchased
I have just charged to 100% just to see what range it would state and as per the screenshot from the app, it shows 187 miles. I understand then when I drive it again (I'm at work right now) it is likely to change, but this doesn't seem right to me.
My average m per kWh is around 3.8 too and I driver very conservatively (stick to speed limits, drive in eco mode in D, coasting to junctions etc.
Am I overthinking?
I would be unhappy with an efficiency of only 3.3mpKWh. I generally get 4.8 in summer but this has fallen recently to 4.1 in the autumn weather (lights on, windscreen washers, heating). I expect it to average 3.8 through the winter. I have a 2 year old Riviera
I have a 2020 R135 GT line bought from new. 160-180 mile range at 100% charge in colder wetter weather is not unusual in my experience. It can be even lower in very icy cold weather.
Use of the heater, fans, heated rear window, seats and steering wheel etc. also all contribute to lower GOM readings.
It can be useful also to reset the GOM by pressing and holding the down arrow on the right side of the steering until it changes the guesstimated range.
However all my driving is fairly local, I charge at home when needed and I have never taken the battery down below about 15%. So I don't know how the Zoe would behave when it's close to an empty battery. Not sure I'd want to find out if I'm honest!
I have a 135 GT Line and when driving mine most of the time it shows about 4.8kWh and sometime as high as 5.1, (I'm normally not in a rush so don't often use the cars great acceleration). I've never had it show above 192 miles when fully charged although I would bet it would go further it I drove it until empty. I tend to only charge it to about 80% which is in the 150/155 mile range.
Yes, I bought mine 12 months old with 2700 miles on the clock. Frankly I love the acceleration and tend to only do short trips. I charge to 75% and somethimes get horrendously low range like 118 miles, but to be frank that doesn't matter, at the moment its recording 3.3 miles /kwh. The difference is due to driving style and the other in use circuits, heated seats, heated steering wheel, cabin heater & lights. This will improve in the summer.
Whats more important is the state of health of the battery, low range due to the use constraints isn't a problem, low range because of the state of health of the battery is a problem. Just wish I knew how to check it. Richy
I have a iconic with 700 miles on the clock. I have a heavy foot and a 100% charge is saying 144 miles. (However went for a drive and it increased). The weather/heating etc does impact significantly. I'm currently getting 3.3kwh.
