I was reading in a thread about jacking points (rather vague and you need a rubber block on the Jack with a grove in it???).

It sounds a nightmare to get help from the Renault customer help service where punctures are definitely EXCLUDED from the things in their warranty.

Have you any tips on insurance companies for the Zoe and do you have any thoughts on the best charging companies away from home?

Well, I've not had a puncture (fingers crossed), and so haven't had to use a breakdown/recovery service. We've been with Boundless's/CSMA's breakdown service for years (Britannia Rescue), but haven't had to use them for either Zoe. When we bought the ZE40 there was a glitch not long after we bought it. The RAC sorted that out for us as part of Renault's warranty deal. (In other words, I can't help you much, fortunately, I suppose!).

Re insurance, we are with the NFU, and so far, so good.

We bought an extended warranty for the 2018 ZE40 via Boundless. Much cheaper than Renault's offer - same company! https://www.boundless.co.uk/search-result?k=extended+warranty

We haven't charged often using public chargers. Those we've used, MER and BP, were fine, but very small sample.
