When the car was new it had a 36 month "free" online connectivity plan connected to it. That plan was not related to the owner only to the car it-self. Your 2019 is way out of that 36 month period.
Now to the bad parts. Renault have (as usual screwed up) the renewal process of that app/remote plan. So a lot of us are in sort of a limbo state. We have paid to service centras to renew the online connectivity, but they are not able to get it to work. My cost have been quated from about 40€ to 170€ for a 36 month period. So I went for the 40€ first, but it still dont work. So I got in contact with a different service center for the 170€ oprtion, it still dont work.
So that is the background. Regarding heating during charging it is way worse and annother example on Renault stupidity. Anything you do in the car does not men shit. What will work when you get the app (My Renault on Google play store) is to start preheat thru the app. But the car must be locked for it to work. That give you two options, get out of the car, mov away so the car lock it self. Or open the door, close the door then put the key FOB in a metal box so that it can not have any radio transmission. Then you can start the pre-heat thru the app. The pre-heat will last for 10 min, then you have to do that again. Annother thing the car MUST have 40% energy left in the battery for pre-heat to start (some new sorces state that 20% is enugh, but I have not been able to confirm that).
On previus Zoe ZE22 and ZE40 it was possible that from the inside look the car doors and use the pre-heat button on the FOB for 10 min of heating.

I've got that app. It's fairly useless. Basically it tells me the charge. I can't turn on the heating or AC either.
I just connected my 'phone with a USB cable and it synchronised.
