In ZOE Z.E.40 2016-2019
Unfortunately my 2017 Zoe appears to be a write off. It developed a noise coming from the transmission and I took it to the Renault dealer in Hereford. The diagnosis is that it is a bearing that is at fault which is an internal component of the reducer. They are saying that I will need a new reducer the cost of which is £3950 parts and £600 labour. The car has done 63000 miles. They value the car at £5000 but as it is a leased battery reduced it to £2000, hence the repair is twice as much as the value of the car. Has anyone experienced this problem? Does the diagnosis and the cost of repair sound realistic? Does anyone know a good garage with Zoe experience in the Hereford area?
