Renault Megane E-Tech Electric Awarded a 5-Star Safety Rating by EuroNCAP

Scored 85 per cent for adult occupant protection and 88 per cent for child occupant protection.
A 79% rating was achieved for protection of vulnerable road users.
Megane is available with 26 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), leading to a score of 79 per cent for safety assist.

EuroNCAP has awarded New Megane E-Tech Electric the maximum 5-star rating in its latest round of tests. The car scored 85 per cent for adult occupant protection, 88 per cent for child occupation protection, 65 per cent for vulnerable road users and 79 per cent for its safety assist systems.


Megane E-Tech Electric features an exceptionally stiff body structure and 7 airbags, which combined with 26 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), lead to the high scores achieved.


The ADAS features are divided into three categories: driving, parking and safety. Megane’s Active Driver Assist is categorised as Level 2 vehicle autonomy and makes use of several of the car’s systems, such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and various sensors to support safer driving.
