Renault Scenic Wins at 2024 AutoTrader New Car Awards

The Renault Scenic E-Tech Electric has clinched the prestigious Erin Baker Award at the Auto Trader New Car Awards 2024. This accolade, a highlight of the annual awards, is presented to vehicles that combine excellent design with a strong sustainability focus.

Auto Trader’s Editorial Director, Erin Baker, praised the all-electric family car for its impressive range, generous standard equipment, and appealing design. Baker remarked, “The Renault Scenic E-Tech offers the sort of range on a single charge that usually comes with a much higher price tag. Not only does this give drivers peace of mind, but it's a great-looking car inside and out. It’s also packed with tech including Google integration, a parking camera, and a heated steering wheel as standard. One of the best features I’ve ever seen on a car is the solar-based sunroof. Amazing work, Renault.”

Guillaume Sicard, Managing Director of Renault UK, expressed his pride in the Scenic E-Tech Electric, stating, “This award epitomizes what the Scenic E-Tech electric stands for. A game-changer within the family car sector, it is a brilliant all-rounder, making pure-electric driving a highly viable and attractive proposition. It combines excellent usability with the technology and style that is increasingly important to customers.”

This award adds to the Scenic E-Tech Electric's growing list of accolades, including the 'Car of the Year 2024' title, awarded earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show by 59 car journalists from 22 countries.

The Renault Scenic E-Tech Electric features a compact motor (available in 125kW/170hp or 160kW/220hp variants) and a 60kW or 87kWh battery pack, offering a range of up to 379 miles. Its long wheelbase ensures a spacious cabin, while innovative features such as the Solarbay opacifying glass roof and a versatile rear armrest create a comfortable and practical space for families.

Focusing on sustainability, the Scenic E-Tech Electric uses new materials and eliminates leather from the interior. Up to 24% of its materials are recycled, and 90% of its mass, including the battery, is recyclable.

The 87kWh battery version comes in three trim levels: techno, esprit Alpine, and iconic. Additionally, the Scenic E-Tech Electric offers a 60kWh (Comfort Range) battery available exclusively in techno trim. The range starts from £37,495 OTR.
